Since the Bella Vista Recycling Center is operated by volunteers, any patron may volunteer to assist  in a number of ways.  Volunteers  need not be AARP members!  If you can serve in any othe following ways, stop in at the Center and speak to the foreman.

• Volunteers monitor the drop off area to oversee the transfer of recyclable materials to the proper marked bins.
• Volunteers answer questions patrons have about the facility.
• Volunteers assist patrons who need help to unload their recyclable materials.
• Volunteers bring to an indoor collection area the contents of the outdoor chipboard and office paper bins as they are filled.
• Volunteers empty the barrels of glass bottles and the bins of aluminum cans into the crushers.
• Volunteers transfer into balers the contents of trailers filled with corrugated cardboard and the bins of newspapers and plastic bottles.
• Volunteer drivers and assistants use our vehicles and trailers to pick up cardboard from businesses in the area.  If your driving record is good, you can be placed on our insured list of drivers.  Routes are available for morning and afternoon hours.

Set your heart and mind on recycling as a way of life.  Talk to your family, your neighbors, your fellow church members and business colleagues so that everyone becomes actively involved in recycling!
